What we do

Recycling children’s equipment, arts and crafts materials, and environmental work

Watch Us Grow in the Community

Watch Us Grow in the Community established in 2003 is an environmental task force which works on local environmental improvements in partnership with community organisations. This team of supported employees with additional support needs who are supported by a Project Worker have worked in partnership with local children’s nurseries, primary schools and groups improving the local environment for the benefit of all.

The team also plant trees, create pathways for better access to green spaces, work with local businesses on site maintenance, and create floral areas for the benefit of local communities. All have become employees of Watch Us Grow, with the same terms and conditions of employment as all other staff. Over the past 10 years, the team members have grown in confidence and self esteem, as they have developed new skills and delivered meaningful projects to be enjoyed by the local community.

Nursery Needs

Nursery Needs is a Cumbernauld-based social firm charity providing employment opportunities for adults with additional support needs. Our team refurbishes used children’s nursery equipment, prams, cots and buggies, which are then sold on or rented to the public at a reasonable cost.

We also offer a unique range of high quality recycled arts and crafts materials for sale at reasonable cost. If you’re interested, come along and have a look at what we’ve got or get in touch. We are proud that Nursery Needs is able to offer high quality materials and goods through preventing reusable goods from ending up in landfill.

We sell pre-loved Childrens nursery equipment, indoor and outdoor toys at affordable prices.

We have quality goods at less than a quarter of their original price.
